Do's and don'ts for power of attorney in tamilnadu

Can anyone please explain what are the Do's and Don'ts for Power of attorney in Tamilnadu as per new rules of Tamilnadu Govt last year.

Basically I would like to know whether the Power of Attorney (Who is my Wife) for my property can get sub-division for the plot on her name.

Power of Attorney can always be revoked and all powers/authority exercised by the POA holder are drawn from the registered document. If you granted such rights, I do not see why she cannot do the same. Examine the POA granted first.

Hope this helps.

The dos and donts of power of attorney agent can be found recited in the POA deed itself, you may peruse the said document. If your wife who is your agent has been authorised to transfer or mutate the property on her name she can very well do it, if not then it is illegal and invalid.  If you suspect foul play, you can give a written objection to the mutating authority and keep it on hold until the court decides about it.
