Surely HC verdict will excite some, not all. It wil certainly give a fillip to the movement for decriminalisation of homos*xuality. GIven teh grounfd realities the argument that the high court ruling will help modernise the country seems a hyperbolic response of those excited by the Hogh court verdict on the question which falls more in the realm of societal changes and attitudes.

In most of the western countries, it is not an offence but it is a different preference which a human being can have.  If Indian government legalise the act, it will definitely be a step forward and will help the society to avoid marital disputes when the reality comes into picture.  Lot of people, because of social stigma, could not express their choice and preference and hence, it will afterwards culminate into marital disputes.  This can be very well avoided by legalising the act.
