on 22.7.17 myself and my wife had reservation in train no.09207 (Somnath-Puri S.F exp)(Sch dep 0720) from Somnath to Ahmedabad ( scheduled arrival at ahmedabad, 1615 hrs).Around 0645 it was anounced at somnath that this train will leave 2 hrs 30 min late.Consequntly we cancelled our onward reservation in ashram Exp. (12915) (sch.dep 1830 Hrs) from ahmedabad to Delhi. and booked in tatkal in AK Rajdhanii (12953) sch. dep 2231. from Baroda to Nizamuddin.
but unfortunnately, the train 09207 reached Ahmedabad around 2130 hrs, so there was no way to catch AK Rajdhani from Baroda at 2231 hrs. So we missed this train and also no TDR was accepted as the ticket was in tatkal.
Due to problem of railway we had financial loss as well as the mental torture and inconvenience.
Please advise how to get appropriate compensation from rail and where should a notice be sent?
