Civil appeal for recovery of a debt

Dear sirs, I have filed a suit for recovery of debt by paying stamp fee in the district court and that suit is dismissed now. Hence I have to file an appeal before the honourable High Court of A.P. In this connection my query is "shall I have to pay the stamp fee again for appeal in the same suit?" please clarify me in this regard.

no need to pay again. You have to follow appeal procedure.

Yes, you will have to pay appropriate Court fees, as per AP Court Fees Act.

You have neither paid any "stamp duty" in District Court for recovery of money, nor required to pay any "stamp duty" in an appeal before AP High Court.

In fact, you have paid ad-velorum "Court Fees" for recovery of money in District Court, now after dismissal of the suit for recovery you want to prefer an appeal, there again you are required to pay appropriate ad-valorum "Court Fees".
