Chs major repairs fund

We had a major repairs of our building which included terrace repairs, building external plaster, compound wall repair etc. Before the repairs started the society meeting was held and it was decided by a majority that equal amount to be collected for the repairs from all the flats irrespective of the size of flat and society will contribute one portion of amount from its funds.

Work started and money was collected from most of the flats excluding two members, who are saying that their flats are very small and they will not contribute the same amount as other flats.

Please let me know what does law say in this case and how to tackle this case now
