Dear Members,
I'm contesting a criminal case against me in a local JMFC Court.
My engaged a lawyer who sought half of the entire amount as his fees to contest the case before the Court.
I paid the whole half amount and now he started demanding the remaining half of the amount or threatened to withdraw from the case.
Seeing his rude behaviour, I fear that he may not appear before the court at all as soon as he gets the remaining half amount.
I feel cheated by my lawyer now.
I do have proofs of e-receipts of the NEFT transfer of amounts that I deposited in his bank account.
How do I complain against my lawyer and what can I do against him?
