My wife has filed a 498a against me.
Now, I am not happy with the lawyer I have.
he always asks for money for some or the other reason.
He does not keep us updated correctly.
Please help me with, is it possible to change the lawyer and what is the procedure?

Fix his professional fee once and you can pay instalment basis. OR If you want change the lawyer, you have to obtain NOC and all docuements whatever you handed over to him. Say goodbye.

Getting NOC, how difficult will it be? I mean will he create troubles while doing so?

pay his/her full fee as per your agreement and get an NOC from him/her and engaged another lawyer as per your choice
