I heard that a NRI (either a OCI or PIO ) who is not a citizen of India cannot own Agriculture land.
He cannot own even if his father is a farmer, cannot own even through father GIFT and can only own through fathers WILL and upon father passing away.
Is there any other process to do so? Can NRI open a company and buy the land as a company?
