Applicability of esi on employer

When the liability to pay ESI comes in force. Whether from the date of starting the work or from the date of registration of the organization. Authorities asking to impose ESI from the date of starting of working. Pl. suggest.

if the time period is more then they will ask from the date of working

even you can demand that from the before registartion date the employee working are less than 10 employees and now it was increased after registration and will pay for them from the date of registration

Please clarify from which period or date it is effective from the date of registration. Also what is the time period for the date of working. What is the number of employee for before and after date of registration.

if the employee are more than 10 numbers then you have to register for ESIC

Hi,

We have now registered ESI from April 2013 and started deducting from employees 1.75% and Company`s 4.75% and depositing  online.  The ESI

inspector is about to visit our office for inspection of our past 2 years records. Will he insist us to pay the arears of last two years, and where

as we have not deducted any ESI from the employees and were paying Health Insurance Policy Rs.2,00,000/- per head per annum for the safety of the

employees.

Please suggest me how can I convince the Inspector.

Thanks
