Agricultural land distribution

Hi experts, I am curious to know about agricultural land distribution between family members. My grandfather died and after his death all my family members names are included in 7/12 including his 1 son, 3 daughters and his wife (my grandmother). Now how the land will be distributed among this family members? Can my grandmother prepare will and give as per her wish or hindu family law will be applied? Thanks
