Hi,
I am on regular bail from Court in 498A case, charge sheet filed and trial going on. Few days back the I.O. called stating that he is going to file supplementary chargesheet U/s 406 IPC.
(a) Can this be filed by IO now ? Is there any limitation period for filing the supplementary challan ?
(b) What should be done as precautionary step from our side (we have 7 days notice but not Anticipatory Bail U/s 406) ?
(c) If the I.O. present the supplementary challan on the date of hearing, will we need the surety and bond on same date ?
(d) I asked I.O. to follow the procedure as stated under Police circular 7/2007, despite that he said he will file the supplementary challan.
(e) I am told by somebody that in Bail U/s 406 some amount has to be given to Complainant/Court for bail, please clarify.
