if it is interim injunction it will be extended every hearing.. if the stay is granted temporarily and the injunction petition is closed it may be disposed only by appex court.
in case of interim injunction u may appear and contest that the stay is unsustainable and u may argue and vacate the stay which is in force.

stay order is an interim injunction only.....present your case and convince the court the court may vacate the stay if the facts and circumstances demand, there is no fixed time limit prescribed for continuation of stay....however the law is where the final relief can not be granted there even the interim relief can not be granted...present your case and get the appropriate orders from the court.

If the Landlord appears with an application to setaside the order passed in his absence, then if he also file an application to vacate the order of Stay, the Court will vacate the stay on merits
