Sharing of Ancenstral property while Father is Alive

Dear Sir(s),

My father has some land as ancestral property. I am his only son and I have 2 sisters.

I want to share the property as 4 parts , one for my dad and rest for the children.

My question is

1) My father and sisters doesnot want to share the property now.I want it shared now. Is the father mandated to share the property if I file a civil case ?

Though you can ask for partition of ancestral land property,but I would not advise you to do so as you are only the son,but if you fear that your father will sell out the property,you can prevent him by filing the suit of partition with injunction.

You can ask for partition, issue him notice.

yes u can file a civil suit for partition
with injunction.
if you file the suit for partition then you will be alloted only 1/4th share only...
so wait for some time and compromise your father and ur sister then all may enter into a registered partition deed and u may ask them to relinguish their share by paying cash.... and it should be mentioned in the partition deed...
