the definiton of charge in cr.p.c is "charge includes any head of charge when the charge contains more than one" please explain this line in simple language
B K Raghavendra Rao (Expert) 10 July 2010
What is stated by you is called an 'inclusive definition'. It only says what is also included and does not actually define what is charge.

Common meaning of the word charge may be applied in criminal procedures. Any definite allegation which seems probable after some enquiry is called a charge. If there is an allegation and after making enquiries with the alleger and the alleged, it prima facie deserves to be looked into and proceedings conducted then such an allegation is put as a charge.
