How do lawyers charge fees in a family contestd and on going matter which is before the court.

Is it per suit or per month till the suit is finally decreed or settled ?

Fees is the discretion of the professional, further it may be charged on part payment according to the stage of the suit or on basis of appearance before the court or any other method mutually agreed by both the parties.

But if you are a panel advocate to any financial institution, he is governed by the fess structure prescribed by the organization in tune with RBI guidelines.
