under what circumstances a daughter can contest for his fathers property( both self earned and inherited)?

If the daughter is unmarried she can ask to the extent of her maintenance as a dependent in both self acquired and ancestral property apart from which she can claim her share only in the ancestral property.

In the life time of the father, a daughter can seek partition for her share in the property inherited by her father.

She also can seek maintenance till her marriage, in failure of payment of maintenance, she can attach his self acquired property also
