under what circumstances a daughter can contest for his fathers property( both self earned and inherited)?

If the daughter is unmarried she can ask to the extent of her maintenance as a dependent in both self acquired and ancestral property apart from which she can claim her share only in the ancestral property.

In the life time of the father, a daughter can seek partition for her share in the property inherited by her father.
