You need to be a registered dealer under the Central Sales Tax Act,1956 to apply for C forms to the assessing authority. Further C forms can be used only for inter-State purchases of goods which are mentioned in the certificate of registration. Contravention of this requirement will make one liable to penal action under section 10(a) or 10A as the case may be.
A simple letter mentioning the CST registration no. and the requisite number of Forms is sufficent. One C form is sufficient to cover all transactions in a quarter. No bank guarantee is necessary.
