Dual degrees

UGC has allowed dual degree system in India in UG and PG Courses(one degree in regular and the other in correspondence).Just want to know if dual degrees acquired in 2012 valid for govt jobs?I did B.ED in 2012 thru regular mode and did MA in English from 2010-12 in distance mode.Are both my degrees valid in context of UGC's new policy on dual degrees?

If UGC approved, what is the problem for you? Are you facing any real problem?

I appeared for a job interview for a Central Govt. school.In the interview,the panel was bit circumspect abt my dual degrees(B.ED has been done thru regular mode and M.A. English in correspondence mode).When asked,I tried to convince them that now UGC has permitted dual degrees in regular and correspondence mode.After that ,they didnt discuss about my dual degrees issue and continued asking questions regarding my subject.Though they took my interview for 15 minutes and I was satisfied with my perfomrnace,yet I am not sure whether this issue of dual degree could be a hurdle in my selection.Please help me.

You have done your job. If they are satisfied with your performance, they can ask you to produce evidence of UGC guidelines or on their own they search/refer for reply. In the interview, they can ask anything. It is not that the interview board members do know everything. Hence do not entertain tension. If results are not declared for a long time, you can approach and again explain your stand as to the possession of dual degrees at one time and appeal them to look into the evidence you produce or request them to refer the matter to UGC if they have any doubt on this matter.

The result is due to be declared by May End.So cant do anything as of now but to wait for it.As that was my last attempt to appear for the compeitive exam,I am bit nervour and worried abt whether I will make thru or not.As it is Centrla govt organisation and not a school body,how would I know whether my case has been considered.

As I already told you, you have done your job. You will have to wait for outcome. Anxiety and tension will not provide any solutions.
