Ancestral property.

sir,I want to know whether ancestral property(residential& agricultural land)which was not purchased by a person can be transferred completely to one of his son and leaving the other sons.

ancestral property(residential& agricultural land)which was not purchased by a person can NOT be transferred completely to one of his son , leaving the other sons.
