(Querist) 29 July 2009 This query is : Resolved
Once the property gifted, can it become salable or always passes onward through gift deeds ?
Y V Vishweshwar Rao (Expert) 29 July 2009
A Gift with out any conditions , on accpetance of the Gift by Donee it becomes the absolute proerty of Donee and it can be sold by him
charudureja (Expert) 29 July 2009
Mr. Rao is right if no conditions are put on it then it becomes the property of the donee and he can deal with the property as he likes
Deekshitulu.V.S.R (Expert) 30 July 2009
if the gift is unconditional and absolute, then the donee will have a right to sell the property and a salable interest is conferred the moment the gift is accepted. The recital in the gift deed that the possession is delivered on the date of gift is sufficient to conclude that the gift is always been accepted and seperate proof is necessary
