We have executed a Family Settlement Deed in Kolkata during 2010-11.The settlement relates to distribution of all moveable and immoveable properties belonged to my father, who expired in January,2010.Is it necessary to get the Deed registered. If so, what will be the tentative cost of registration charges? For the said purpose will it be necessary to ascertain the value of all properties left by my father?
For the above purpose, will it be necessary to execute a fresh deed or we can register the deed already signed by all of us?
