Acquisition of agriculture land

we have 3 acr agriculture land in gujarat whole land had been acquired for the purpose of the modernization of the agriculture land in 1959 they gave compensation of the land to my grandfather brother (who have't child) u/s 11 of the Bombay Land Acquisition act by the deputy collector. Right now the government of gujarat has possession of the land they not use the land for proper purpose the land acquired land has been uncultivated since 10 year. The acquired land has highest market value and many Builder and politically person want to try possession on the acquired land. we r middle class family we can't protect our land. so please i need help and expert opinion some following query

1. Have any GR or circular for the acquired land ?
3. which is the proper way to get back our grandfather's brothers land who had been no lineage

Have any other provision which is help us to protect our land right ? suggest me... and guide me .....

The land was acquired in 1959, and compensation was also paid, what solutions are possible now?

As the Govt has not used the land for the purpose for which it was acquired, you may consider filing a WP in the HC for return of the property.
