i am working with a mining company, having mines at Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Jharkhan.
i have to do a legal audit of mines, can any one please provide me a check list on Mining laws for these states.
in particular, i need what all documents should one have before mining, monthly compliance/return, quarterly comppliance/return, half yearly and yearly compliance/return to be filed and with whom.

Whether it is a private Company or a Public Sector Company?
What is your position in the Company?
Are you the first person occupying the position in the Company or there were others before you?
Is there any Company guidelines existing or not?

Auditing mining is difficult work for any but needs to be done. You have to work on one theory extracted and sold out. Like production and sales for a manufacturing plant/s.
You will face problem with dealing each mining company and their location because they may have different system of operation. Therefore it will be job of yours to make a systematic audit/s.
See what system they are following chances are they all are stealing money over the business. I am sorry you have to see if your life is safe. You may have to go against the flow/practice. Due to these and many other reasons it maybe hard for you to find a check list But there should one for Chartered Accountants.
