possession / ownership over another person’s land

It’s regarding possession / ownership over another person’s land: -

1.To prove ownership on another’s land how much continues possession are require?

2. Is it true that if any person has continuous possession of 3 years over another person land, then in that case he get possessors right over that land?

3.Or any person requires 7 years continuous possessions over the land to obtain ownership right over the land?

Arti jee,three years or seven years continuous possession over other's property can not creat any right.12 years continuous uninterrupted adverse possession with in the knowledge of true owner and other facter only creat a right to sue for declaration of title.comlete law on it and supreme court ruling you can see in www.lawyersarin.com on the page of Important judgment.

what you mean perhaps for the agriculture land or the urban land. law are different for these two lands,

It's Agricultural land but no one cultivate there since last continue 60 years. And on that land there is one house.

From your question, the following questions arise:

1) Do you know the owner?
2) Whether you are already in possession of that land and is also within the knowledge of the owner? and
3) Do you want to claim that land?

1. Yes they know the owner.
2. They are in possession of that land nearby last more than 12 years.
3. And that people want to claim that land.
