i am a girl belong to Schedule Tribe category of Himachal Pradesh. Now i am married and my husband from J&K belongs to General Category. He is muslim by religion. i have also converted to islam after marriage. So my question is ....can i still take the benefit of ST category or the status would be changed to General?????

Certainly yes, because you fall in the category of the ST and not in SC as ST's are more protected than SC's... to make clarity, you give your maiden name along with your father's name for filing any type of jobs etc. in government institutes, embracing Islam means that you have changed your religion.

Also dont change the domicile--- claim your domicile of origin that is birthplace as your domicile which cannot be changed by any law and dont adopt or accept the domicile of choice (marriage).

As per the UNO/ International Law --- No person can be without a domicile and domiciles are of two types of origin and of choice--- and the domicile of choice can be waived any time but domicile of origin remains the same and it remains in abeyance till the choice is not over.

Remember my words for ever.
