CA or ACS are not regular college course. But, BL is a regular degree. The age limit is fixed by the BCI in association with the local Law Universities..

What is the hitch in taking admission in LLB?
Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 March 2011
i am 10+2 , age 38+ .

Could not study further due to family responsibilities.

I am interested in llb admission but BAR COUNCIL seems reluctant.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 06 March 2011
After 10+2, you should have a regular 3 year Degree Course Certificate (even now you can have it through Distance Education like Annamalai University etc.) and thereafter try for LL.B. Admission.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 06 March 2011
I forgot to mention that you should obtain minimum 50% marks in the 3 year Degree Course to be eligible for LL.B.
Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 March 2011
Ok SIR, I will get three year graduation degree by correspondence.

But, what is the upper age limit after graduation to get admission in LLB ?
( for practice ).
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 06 March 2011
Currently, there is no upper age limit. However, Bar Council of India is proposing to limit it to 30 years. The rule is yet to be passed.
Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 March 2011
That is why I wanted to get admission in 5 year LLB course after 10+2 because if I join 3 year degree course now, who knows what will be the rule for admission in LLB after 3 years .
Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 06 March 2011
You told that BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA is proposing upper limit to 30 years for graduates .

Then age limit for LLB admission after 10+2 must also be under proposal . Right ?
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 07 March 2011
This is the answer to your last two posts.
Why you want to pursue 5 year LL.B. is understood, but if the age restriction does not permit you to do so what can be done?
There is no proposal to raise the maximum age limit from the present limit of 21 years, for admission to 5 year LL.B. after 10+2.

I am taking admission in CA and CS as no age limit is there and money is also more in those fields.

After CA , I will be eligible to get admission in LLB Phd course.

So, BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA won't be able to stop me from practising as advocate.

Finding loop holes is the job of advocates, which I am doing better than you.
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 07 March 2011
This is what happens when you are not legally trained and pitiably assume that you know everything!
Please go through the Application Form prescribed for registration with Bar Council. See whether you will be able to successfully fill up the Form with the above qualifications. What you call as crudely as 'finding loop hole', we Advocates call it as 'interpretation of the existing provisions of law'. You miserably fail in this test. You will realise this when you complete your CA and then LL.B. Phd. and when you try to enrol yourself as an 'Advocate'.
I have not come across even the top most senior Advocates claiming 'I am doing better than you'. Yes, I fully realise that it has not been said without reason that 'empty vessel' makes too much noise.

TRUTH IS ALWAYS BITTER.

If you have not come across senior people to tell you what you are , it means your circle is either limited or you are surrounded by YES MEN.

you are feeling frustrated just because a person who may or may not become ADVOCATE is going to become CA .

If your vessel was full, you could think with cool head that after CA , why would some body bother to become ADVOCATE ??
R.Ramachandran (Expert) 07 March 2011
Dear Anonymous,
I am always cool. There are hundreds and thousands of CAs who have become Advocates. For instance, today's darling of the legal field Mr. Harish Salve is one such CA. It is just because, the Advocate can appear before any Court. He can combine his excellent knowledge in the field of CA and CS and prove to be a greatest asset.
Again you have misunderstood me. All that I wanted to say in response to your claim: "Finding loop holes is the job of advocates, which I am doing better than you" was that even senior most Lawyers never claimed that they know everything - which unfortunately you claim to be.
I have nothing to lose if you become a CA. There is nothing for me to get frustrated about. You can become anything, I don't care. My livelihood does not depend upon what others are - rather what I am.
