How can I get statement of accounts ?

My father died intestat in 1996 without a will. My two brothers operating the account have cheated and defrauded other legal heirs but the bank is allowing them to continue operation of accounts due to either or clause and not giving me the details. How can I get the statements. I don't have resources for getting legal heir certificate from court. Can I ask for them under RTI?

YOU MAY SEND A LEGAL NOTICE TO THE BANK MENTIONING FACT THAT THE SAID PERSON DIED.ENCLOSE COPY OF DEATH CERTIFICATE AND MENTION THE FACT AND YOUR SHARE IN PROPERTY OF FATHER.AND CLEARLY MENTION IN LEGAL NOTICE THAT UNLESS SUCCESSION CERTIFICATE IS PRODUCED BY THE SURVIVORS NO PAYMENT SHOULD BE MADE FROM THE SAID JOINT ACCOUNT.YOUR PURPOSE WILL BE SERVED.
YOU MAY FILE APPLICATION FOR SUCCESSION CERTIFICATE YOU WILL SUCCEED.GOOD LUCK.

Sir, While I thank you you have missed my query to make application under RTI. Banks have refused to give details otherwise.

Follow advice of Nandkumar Sir. Account of dead person can not be operated even by legal heir unless it is a joint account .Though deposited amount may be claimed but all legal heir has their respective share.
If the account is being operated it is an offence in itself and bank officials are also liable for this offence, in such case you can file FIR.

Sir, When I contacted bank they said they can not stop operations as these accounts were opened with either or survivor instructions but my father was properietor of the business. Pl. revert.

Sir, I may clarify that the accounts are opened as joint accounts.
