Video recording evidence

Whether video recording is primary or secondary evidence? What are the conditions for accepting the same as legal evidence? Citations if any?

Video recording is a primary evidence and it is mainly related to Criminal cases as of now, and currently used to stop the movement of person in custody to court and back.

In Chennai, Additional Sessions cum CBI Special Court - Presiding officers preferred to conduct trial and examination through video conferance.

Recently for trial in Fake stamp papers case, they conducted examination when the accused was in Bombay Prison.

LEGAL Validity of the video recorded evidence. Suppose a scene was recorded in a video. How to bring that in evidence? I.E., how to produce the cassete? Which cassete, the master or the print? Who to be examined to prove the same? Whethet an edited casste is a primary evidence? AND If there is any citations to any of the points the citations?

Video recording is a primary evidence and Court can verify its originality with the help of an expert.

video recording if not edited may be taken in evidence. master copy must be produced. photographer who is author of video will be prime witness to prove the video. line of judgments on the issue.
