UNDER WHAT SECTION OF LAW SURRENDER PETITION HAS TO BE FILED? PLEASE DO ADVISE. FACTS OF THE CASE:- A PERSON ACCUSED IN N.I.ACT. HE ABSCONDED AT THE TIME OF JUDGMENT. NEARLY 7 MONTHS ELAPSED. HE WAS CONVICTED AND SENTENCED TO UNDERGO 6 MONTHS S.I. BESIDES COMPENSATION OF Rs. 3 LAKHS. NOW HE INTENDS TO SURRENDER BEFORE THE TRAIL COURT TO UNDERGO IMPRISONMENT. PLEASE ADVICE.

Just write a simple petition mentioning the case no and stating that the convict wants to surrender before the Trial Court in connection with the ..... ( Case no)to undergo his S.I. its very simple and no particular Section is necessary.
