KYC DOCUMENTS

(Querist) 25 March 2009 This query is : Resolved 
A banker has refused to sanction my loan due to following reasons.

1.my spouses name was saranya.g before marriage and after marriage her name was changed to saranya kumar ie.my name was added to her name ( as there is no proof for name change)

can u pls tell me the other alternative? also pls explain in detail the KYC norms of RBI/Banks.

submit an affidavit to the bank stating the change in the name and both the names are the names of your wife

I agree with the view. But at the same time the I think bank may not have refused to sanction loan on that particular ground alone.

It is upto the bank. But you try for the loan by filing an affidavit attested by Notary stating that Saranya Kumar and Sananya G are one and same and the w/o of so and so. OR you file a certificate from the Village officer, District collector or any authority competent to issue a certificate to that effect stating the above.

you need to submit an affidavit, to the bank, stating the change in the name and both the names are the names of your wife.

Dear Frnd.,
After the marriage wife's name will be changed she will use her husband's name along with her name. convince that Bank Manager and u file an affidavit of ur wife stating that after the marriage my name is changed to saranya Kumar before my name is Saranya but both the names are belong to me.
