Evidence by power of attorney holder on behalf of defendant

Dear friends, urgently I need one citation of Honble supreme court,relating to the topic Power of Attorney Holder can addue evidence on behalf of original defendant in a civil suit and in absence of the original defendant.So pl help me providing a citation of Honble Appex court or High court(preferably Orissa High Court)NB. my case is posted tomorrow from today,so hurry up pls.Thanx and regards,Silabhadra Sastry,Advocate,Bhubaneswar. The POA can give deposition on behalf of his principal to the extent he knows.
