Hi,
My father wants to transfer one of his property to me through settlement deed.
Would like to know the cost breakup for completing the dead including the writing fees.
Looks like the writers are trying to fleece us demanding 22k etc.
Is it possible to do it directly using the draft provided in lawyers club.

Draft may be broadly adopted to include your particulars etc. suitably and then it can be presented to the sub-registrar for registration which may not involve any such fleecing charges of touts at these offices or at the most some suvidha shulk may be all that may see your job completed once you have self settled the Deed as per draft from the site

Documentation charges depend on the lawyer/ draft writer
22k is somewhat high
you can make your settlement deed and get it registered; but the settlement deed is a technical one and can be prepared with high legal knowledge.
The person who prepares the deed must know the meaning of every word in the deed and its effect in the future and on the property.
The model deeds available in the sites shall help you to understand the things; but it depends on your knowledge level to make it into ur own deed.
