I have a agreement being cancelled due to civil suit after 5 years will I get a refund of my stamp duty
This agreement was registered in Thane miraroad

It depends upon the local laws normally such stamp duty will not be refunded.

Ji, if any amount accidently levied excess duty or a penality, in such cases upon receiving application the revenue authority may allow refund. But as per your query, you cannot claim refund for cancellation of agreement.

There are some websites claiming refund of stamp duty paid on cancellation of sale agreement(based on cancellation deed) even after 5 years, is there any possibility of a refund if yes how and when do they refund after 5 years, please share the entire procedure.
Further info:
The sale agreement never has the ownership successfully transferred, the final payment for transfer was not made and both the parties ended up in court, now there are talks of closure. based on which we would like clarity on stamp duty
