Difference Between Column 1 and 2 of Chargesheet

(Querist) 09 October 2009 This query is : Resolved
What is the difference between column 1 and 2 of the chargesheet?

If there are allegations in the FIR against the accused but no supporting evidence is there, in which column will the accused be kept in the chargesheet?
Kiran Kumar (Expert) 09 October 2009
in Challan (chargesheet as you referred) Column No.1 contains the list of the accused who have been found guilty by police during investigation or after the completion of investigation and the Column No. 2 contains against whom the police finds no case or they are not found to be culprit by the police.

however it is upon the Magistrate either to accept or reject the police report.
