ancestorial property dispute

(Querist) 28 July 2009 This query is : Resolved
Dear sir,

My grandfather(dead) had bought a property which he by will transferred to my grandmother(alive), my grandmother in her will is transferring the same property to one of my uncle with no share to my father, can i as a grand son claim the right in that property.. thank you
A V Vishal (Expert) 28 July 2009
No, since the query clearly states that it is the self acquired property of your grandmother, who has transferred it to your grandmother through a will, your grandmother is the absolute owner of the property and she can dispose the property as per her will.

thank you, but can u tell me if the property had been aquired by my great grandfather and then transferred by will to my grandfather, rest all remaining the same, then could i have claimed the right . Thank you

Sorry, In such a situation also you cannot claim since your great grandfather by a will has transferred in his son's name i.e your grandfather, so you cannot claim it.
