Procedure to register hibba nama in punjab

Dear Expert,

I want to register my hibba nama. Will you pls guide me what is the procedure to register hibba nama & what documents required to register the hibba nama and how much stamp duty is required.

You can give one third of your property through Hiba or gift, such gift may be registered or oral gift is valid in our country. There is no need to get registered.If you want to register the same , you are advised to approach your Registrar's office and execute a gift settlement deed, for more details , the document writers will provide you.

To my knowledge, the concept of 1/3 relates to only wills and not for gifts. He can gift the entire proprty by way of gift(hiba). Please can you elaborate me on this point.

I agree that the 1/3 restriction applies to disposition by will and not for transfers during the life time of a Muslim.
