Hi,
I had filed a complaint against my wife for cheating me u/s 420. She also furnished wrong details in her passport. Though I mentioned this in my complaint I did not add sections of Passport Act viz. 12(1)(b). I'd now like to add IPC 468 and Passport Act 12(1)(b) to the complaint. Can it be done? If yes, what's the process? If no, should I file an additional complaint?

Don't worry about the sections of Law, as the Court will do the Job for you on your complaint based on the facts of your case.

Rightly advised.

was it a private complaint or through a police complaint? Even if it is a private complaint, if you have mentioned the facts in the complaint and sought suitable relief, that will take care of the issue.

It was pvt complaint. Court ordered police investigation. Yes the facts have all been mentioned. The problem is also that police are not investigating and sending report to the court.
