Agri land purchase from scheduled caste farmer (karnataka)

Respected Lawyers/Advocates/Members, 1. My friend is Scheduled Caste (Karnataka) 2. He wants to buy agri land from SC farmer (Karnataka), his annual income is clearly less than 25 lacs.pa 3. My friend is IT Engineer , but his father owns 2 acre land in his home town (Karnataka) Q1 : Can my friend buy land from SC farmer if the land is granted by govt decades back ? Q2 . Can my friend buy only by the virtue of his annual income & Karnataka domicile (w/o using his father's farmer status?) Any advice is welcome !! Thanks in advance Pradeep, B'luru

'Buyer Beware' applies to property deals.

It shall be appropriate to get proper legal opinion from a very able local senior counsel of unshakable repute and integrity specializing in revenue/property/civil matters before signing or making payment.

This may cost some FEE but can defend long term interest and hard earned monies.

Agriculture is state subject and extent rules per latest notifcations shuld be examined.

If the land is  under say; any award, the T&V asssociated may also be examined.

LOCAL counsels as suggested above can advise you the best.
