Appointment of Joint Registrar in Supreme Court

C I R C U L A R

Applications are invited from candidates who fulfil the following qualifications and other eligibility conditions as on 1-1-2008 for filling up the ex-cadre post of Joint Registrar (Finance and Accounts) on deputation/direct recruitment basis, in the provisional and ad hoc scale of pay of Rs.18400-22400/- plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules (gross emoluments Rs.48,296/-per month):-

Qualifications and other eligibility conditions:

Essent ial:-

1. The candidate must be a member of Indian Audit and Accounts Service and must have rendered at least 7 years service as a member of Indian Audit and Accounts Service.

Desirable:-

MBA (Finance) or a qualified Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant

Experience

At least 5 years experience of handling finance and accounts matters in Ministry/Department of Central Government or its subordinate offices

Age :

The maximum age limit for deputation shall be 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.

The deputation will be governed by the terms and conditions contained in the Department of Personnel and Training O.M. No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay II) dated 5-1-1994 as amended from time to time.

General Information:

Eligible persons who fulfil the prescribed qualifications, experience and other eligibility conditions as on 1-1-2008 should apply through proper channel and send their applications giving full particulars supported by copies of all the relevant certificates
and documents and a passport size photograph, all duly attested by Gazetted Officer.
The eligible candidates will have to appear for an Interview before an interview Board. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for appearing in the interview. The candidate selected will be appointed to the excadre post of Joint Registrar on deputation basis initially for a period of one year or on probation for two years in case of direct recruitment. The said appointment will not confer upon him/her any right or title to claim appointment on the cadre post or promotion in the regular channel. The applications should reach The Registrar, Supreme Court of India, Tilak Marg, New Delhi-01 latest by 5.00 P.M. on 15-3-2008. The Registry will not be responsible for any postal loss or delay.
