The former Acting Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh, Justice Ravi Shankar Jha has been appointed as the new chief justice of P&H High Court by the President of India.

Justice Jha started his career in 1986 in the Madhya Pradesh High Court as an advocate and practised in the civil, revenue and constitutional sides.  He was elevated as a permanent Judge in the Madhya Pradesh High Court in 2007.

The collegiums had recommended his name in August and the Former CJ of P&H High Court has been elevated to the Supreme Court of India.
