Civil Court Lacks Jurisdiction To Entertain Suit Based On Industrial Disputes Act
The Court said that though civil courts may have limited jurisdiction in service matters, such jurisdiction may not be available to adjudicate on orders passed by disciplinary authority under Industrial Disputes Act. The case was of Milkhi Ram v. Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board. The decision was given by Justice R Subhash Reddy and Justice Hrishikesh Roy.

No Offence Made Out Unless Shown That Dead Body Was Detained Only Due To Caste
The Bombay High Court has granted pre-arrest bail to the employees of a hospital, who have been booked under the SC/ST Act. The case was of Mr. IndrajitDilipPatil&Ors. v. The State of Maharashtra &Anr. The decision was given by Justice Sandeep K. Shinde. The court held that detention of the dead body itself would not constitute an offence under the SC/ST Act of 1989.

SC To High Courts: All Cases Filed By Government Should Be Through E-Filing From January 1, 2022
The Supreme Court e-committee has directed all High Courts to ensure that all petitions/ cases filed by government before High Courts are done only by way of e-filing from January 1, 2022. The decision was given by Justice D Y Chandrachud.
