MP HC disposes petition on mass copying

The Madhya Pradesh High Court has taken on record the statement of the School Education Department that no mass copying will be allowed at any level in the high school board examination, on a PIL.

A division bench comprising Justice Deepak Mishra and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma , while hearing the petition of Shivendra Kumar and others challenging the mass copying in the examinations conducted by the Board of Secondary Education and seeking court directives to use the industrial training institutes as examination centers, taken on record the state affidavit assuring the curbing of the copying menace at grass root level.

The petitioners leveled serious allegations in the PIL that at various examination centers, the students were involved in mass copying with the co-operation of the school management.

The state submitted that all appropriate steps will be taken in holding the Board Examination safely and to ensure that mass copying des not take place and is curbed at the roots. The court was satisfied with the state reply and finally disposed off the petition.
