Registering a group as per law

Respected All,

We would like to register a group and we have members numbering to 20, and it should be similar to some trade unions, but we are not working in same company or working employees. Please suggest me how to go about for this (To be like a Trade Union).

Could you elaborate of the purpose you want to unite for?

A trade union requires Workmen as its composing members.

Respected Expert,

We are fighting for a social cause and we have members of about 60 and we want our group to be legally registered and we don’t want to go against the law.

We want to register our group.

Kindly guide us is there any general procedure to register a group.
