Registeration of partnership firm

I would like to start a import -export firm in chennai.

1) Do I need a municipal licence if I were to operate from home.?

2) What are the documents required for opening a bank account?

3) Do I need to apply for a sales tax No, as I will be operating as a merchant exporter.

Dear sir,

1. If you want to store the export items then, you need municipal licence for your Godown and it is to be renewaled every year.

2. To open Bank Account you need 2 passport size photos, identity proof and residential proof and introductioner presence or signature is necessary.

3. You have to apply for Sales Tax Registration as well as C.S.T. Registration to get way Bills, and concessional Form C or Form D or Form H etc.,
