Basic Natural law permits widow mother to claim maintenance from her son.

She can file a suit for maintenance form her son. He has to take care of dependent parents.

Under Section !25 of the Criminal Procedure Code, mother can get maintenance from her son

Apart from filing case for maintenance u/s 125 CrPC the mother can also file the case before the Maintenance Tribunal for mantenance not more than Rs 10,000/- under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act. 2007 if the Act is put into operation in your state as some States are yet to notify this Act.
