Validity of 2nd or subsequent will

Whether the 2nd or subsequent Will is valid in the absence of recording the cancellation of the first or earlier Will?

Subsequent will is the automatic revocation of the earlier will if the both deal with the same subject matter, if the will merely serves to amend what has been said before or clarify - it's called a codicil, if it's a complete new will - the latter would stand if proved.
