Hi,
Jagannathan.
The model standing order are applicable wherein 100 or more workmen are employed in the proceeding 12 months. If certain additions/modifications in the perscribed rules are to be made which are more benefical and accpetabel to the union, then such amendments are to be sent to the certifiying officer who will then certify after hearing both the parties and thereafter such standingorders, called certified standing orders will be applicable.

Thanks

Dear P Chandra ( guest) It is not mandatory to have certified standing order when the number of employees exceeds 100. Only when changes/modification./alteration are to be made in the model standing order, only then the standing order are to certified by the certifying officer. Thanks umesh kapoor
