Non registered trade union shall have no legal locus standi as it would not be a legal trade union being not registered under the law.

The T U Act,1926 is the reulation for registration of Trade Unions. This Act protects the unions in certain cases. This does not mean that an unregistered TU cannot raise disputes or place demands of workers under ID Act,1947.

The unregistered Trade union has per se no right to represent the workmen. However if considerable number of employees are it's members, they can raise industrial dispute

as group of workmen. They do have nuisance value and therefore can not be ignored if

good I.R. is to be maintained.
