Revision of Pay

Pay revision in a PSU is due w.e.f. 01.09.2007 and is yet to be initiated. Suppose an employee has resigned after 01.09.2007 and before the approval of the pay revision in the organisation. Should the employee concerned be eligible to get the benefits of the revised pay w.e.f. 01.09.2007 till the date of his/ her resignation?

Yes. Definitely each and every employee retired after the period of revision shall become entitled for the benefits provided therein but can claim after the implementation of such benefits. he shall be provided arrears.

Mr. Makkad! Thanks for your valauble inputs. But unfortunately this has not happened/ is not happening in one of the PSU. Is there any law/ authority on the issue so that the same could be brought to the notice of the organisation for the larger interests of the employees concerned?

The pay revision in PSU is from 01.01.2007  and  I apprehend it might be typograpical error showing 01.09.07.  With regard to persons who retire/died/VRS/resigned after the wage revision period i.e.01.01.2007, they have to be paid the revised basic pay and DA  but  for a HRA and other frigne benefits, it will be at a latter date whcih they will decide with the Union(s).   Management doesn't have the right to say no for wage revision arrears.
