Refer to the books which the teachers are using as it is quite easier if both of you hae the same book in hand while lectures. If you are talking about Acts and Laws then i would recommend CPC, CrPC, Law of Evidence, IPC and ofcourse The Constitution.Just read these books in ur free time even if they are not in course at present as these are very helpful. Other Acts depends on your matter of interest.....
